Signal

The year is 1995. You are a radio astronomer on your first shift at the Deep Space Research Agency.

Your job is simple: tune the receivers, analyze the signals, catalog what you find. Most of it will be noise. Some of it will be beautiful noise. But somewhere in all that static, there might be a voice, and what starts as routine cataloging becomes something much bigger.

Over three days, you'll decrypt transmissions, piece together fragments of an interstellar mystery, and confront a question that changes everything.

Features:

  • Tune radio telescope arrays and analyze signals through hands-on minigames
  • Read emails from colleagues as the story unfolds around you
  • Decrypt transmissions and piece together an ancient message
  • A retro CRT terminal aesthetic. Just you, the data, and the silence
  • No fail states, no time pressure. A narrative experience at your own pace

A note from the developer: This is my first game, a proof of concept and a passion project. It's meant more as an experience than a polished product. If you enjoy the story and the atmosphere, that means the world to me. Feedback is always welcome.

Damn, the music is fantastic! Really elevates the experience of the game!

And i love these kinds of quiet, atmospheric games telling a story in an authentic yet very casual way. Reminds me a lot to “in other waters”, which i played the shit out.

Thank you! Yeah, I think I got lucky with the music! :) In other waters is definitely on my to play list, now. I can’t believe I missed that one.
